It is with great sorrow, we share the news that Bessie Jane Peavyhouse passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025 at the age of 94. She was born in Jamestown, TN to Dewey Brian and Allie Ellen Wright Wilson. Bessie attended the Church of the Nazarene. Bessie was a true Christian and her love for the Lord was unwavering. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. Bessie served as a caregiver to numerous older friends. Her compassion extended beyond duty and she loved the elderly as if they were her own family. Her kindness knew no bounds. Bessie was an excellent cook and she had a green thumb and found great pleasure in gardening and tending to flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Clayton Peavyhouse; sisters, Hessie (Wilson) Howard and Marie (Wilson) Davis; and brothers, Bill Wilson and Buddy Wilson.
Left to cherish her memories are her son, Gregory Peavyhouse; grandsons, Nicholas Peavyhouse and his wife, Taylor Grooms and son, Tayten Grooms; grandson, Dustin Holland Peavyhouse; great-granddaughter, Emerald Holland; brother, Roger Wilson; and longtime friend, Kevin Boles.
There will be a private service for immediate family members. Interment will be in Fentress Memorial Gardens in Jamestown, Tennessee
