Betty Lou (Hatfield) Grogg

Betty Lou (Hatfield) Grogg, age 74 of Rydal, GA, passed away on March 18, 2025 at Landmark Hospital in Savannah,GA.

Betty was a 1969 graduate of York Institute. She completed an Associate’s degree at Penn State University, as well as a Bachelor's degree at Tennessee Tech University, in support of her goal to become a Registered Dietitian.

After graduation, she worked at the Fentress County Hospital until 1998, at which time she relocated to Georgia. She continued her profession, working as a PRN Dietitian at various hospitals, as well as serving as a Renal Dietitian with Gambro Healthcare, later known as DaVita Kidney Care. During her career, she was proud of the fact that she always put the needs of the patients first.

A strong belief in God, and the love of her family, helped to sustain her in the most difficult times.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10:00 am at the Jennings Funeral Homes Chapel in Jamestown. Entombment will follow in the Fentress Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Jennings Funeral Homes Chapel in Jamestown.
