Donald Austin Choate, age 80, of Clarkrange, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 at his home.
He was born in Helena, Tennessee (about a half mile past New Hope Church) on September 3, 1944 to Edward E. And Hazel (Reagan) Choate. He left Tennessee in 1966 and worked in Dayton, Ohio for General Motors Corp. until 1996. He retired and came back to Fentress County at that time.
A private graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at the Fentress Memorial Gardens.
Don is survived by his:
Wife, Trisha Roysdon-Choate
Daughters, Cheryl Choate Hinds and husband Billy
Ronica Choate
Grandson, Thomas Hinds, all of Jamestown
Brothers, Jimmy Choate and wife Virgie of Manchester, TN
Henry Choate of Tullahoma, TN
His special four-pawed children, Cooter, Ginger and Coco
He is preceded in death by his:
1st Wife and mother of his daughter, Joyse Ann (Bragg) Choate
Son, Austin Edward Choate
Parents, Edward and Hazel (Reagan) Choate
Sister, Shirley King
He fought a long battle with courage and grace and he is at peace now with our Lord and as Don would say, "Have a God-Filled Day" my dear friends.
