Ellen (Wright) Hood

Ellen Wright Hood, age 86, of Jamestown, TN passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 in the Signature Health Care in Jamestown.

Mrs. Hood was a member of the Jamestown First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Hood is survived by son, Stuart Thomas (Tommy) Hood and wife Jo; daughter, Cheryl Ann Hood-Key and husband Garry; grandchildren, Angela Bailey and Garry James Key; great-grandchildren, Erin Bailey, Brennan Bailey and Emma Key; brother, Harlan Wright; and sister, Mary Taylor.

Mrs. Hood was preceded in death by parents, H.N. Wright and Floy Baxter Wright; husband, Layton P. Hood; brother, John B. Wright; and sister, Bonnie Wright.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 13, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mundy Funeral Home in Jamestown with Bro. Tommy Duncan and Pastor Phil Ross officiating. Burial followed in the Fentress Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers included John Copeland, Frank Mullinix, Bruce Mullinix, Gordon Martin, Steve Walker, Kent Taylor, and Paul Hood. Honorary pallbearers included the New Hope Sunday School Class, Steve and Carol Papovich, Steve Mullinix, Jimmy Hood, and Leonard and Betty Bilbrey.

Mundy Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.
