Judith Shadrick Obituary

After a long life of service in honoring God, her family, friends and church, Judith Darlene Shadrick, went home to receive her reward on Thursday, July 18, 2024. She entered into the perfect presence of her Lord and Savior with family at her side.

The legacy she leaves behind is greater than words can explain. She lived a true life of service to her Savior, her family, her church, and her community. She fed the hungry free meals through the Daily Bread Kitchen, and opened her home to many foster children over the years. A retired nurse, turned Pastor of Faith Fellowship Church in Jamestown, she cared for your spirit, soul, and body. A devout teacher and preacher of the gospel with a long running broadcast on WDEB radio and many of the community have spent their Sunday mornings listening to those teachings.

She was married to her loving husband of 57 years, Jesse Shadrick. She had 5 children, Dee & husband Joe Abbott, Leah & husband Shannon Prater, Julie & husband Brad Cox, Brandy & husband Adam Richardson, John & wife April Bratcher. She was Nana to her 10 grandchildren, Zoe & husband Sam Duvall, Jordon & wife Julie Cooper, Megan & husband Dylan Austin, Lauren Shadrick, Jeremy & wife Savannah Richardson, Austin & wife Mallory Cox, Dakotah & wife Kim Richardson, Brandon & wife Miranda Richardson, Noah & wife Jordan Richardson, Chloe & husband Bailey Phillips and her 16 great-grand children, Calla, Emory, Caed, Brooklyn, Bryleigh, Braelynn, Zeke, Rhett, Eden, Beau, Aylah, Scarlett, Avery, Luke, Eliza and Monroe. She is also survived by her beloved brother, Randy Gann and several special nieces and nephew.

Always thinking of others, Darlene already had everything in place and wanted only a graveside service. We will honor that with a graveside service on Tuesday, July 23rd at 2pm at Fentress Memorial Gardens in Jamestown, TN. Everyone is invited to come and pay your respects alongside the family.

In lieu of flowers the family would like to continue her life of service to her community by asking for monetary donations to the Fentress County Food Bank, which she made regular donations to. Checks or cash can be dropped off at Jennings Funeral home in Jamestown.
